Orshel Smart Switches Warranty Terms

We love having customers like you, and your support means everything to us. It’s important for us to make sure our customers feel appreciated and valued. We want to make sure you’re happy. Based on laws and regulations related to the protection of consumer rights and interests in India and our commitment towards quality we have formulated Orshel’s product warranty policy, according to which you could replace or repair the products.

1.Warranty services

Warranty object and scope

Warranty Period

  • I. Within 2 years from the date of purchase, if a performance fault that is not caused by human on the product, you could avail warranty services.
  • II. Product warranty start date is subject to the day when the invoice or Proof of Purchase (hereinafter referred to as POP) is issued.
  • III. Invoice, invoice copy, product warranty card can be used as POP. If you are unable to provide the invoice (POP), then the warranty start date will be considered from 120 days of manufactured date (as per device serial number).
  • IV. You could click “Warranty Validity Tracker" to check whether the device is within the warranty period.

Service Guide

  • I. Once defect is identified you may call Orshel Service Center and explain to our Service Executive details of the defect. Upon Orshel’s internal validation process you will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of your Repair Under Warranty (RUW) request.
  • II. Once the RUW request is accepted you can opt to contact Orshel dealer from where the purchase was made or use postal/courier services to send your device to Orshel Service Center. The postal/courier charges are to be borne by the customer.

  • III. It is recommended to include the POP when you submit the device for repair.

Out of warranty scope

  • I. The warranty service is only valid in India where the product was purchased, product is not eligible for any international warranty service.
  • II. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
    • a) Normal wear and tear of the Product.
    • b) Usage of the Product in a manner different from that it is designed for.
    • c) Unauthorized disassembly, repair, alteration, or modification being carried out.
    • d) Misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident caused to the product.
    • e) Improper testing, operation, maintenance, installation of the Product.
    • f) Spillage of liquid, rainwater seepage, corrosion, rust, or the use of wrong voltage.
    • g) Termite attack, rodent bites and similar damages caused by other creatures.
    • h) Lightning, war, fire, typhoon, flood or earthquake and any other natural disasters.
    • i) Scratches or damage to the surface that are due to normal customer usage.
    • j) Connection to a device: (1) not endorsed by Orshel; (2) not fit for use with the product.
  • III. Orshel will determine whether a product is "Out of Warranty" at the company’s discretion according to the standards listed above. Repair of "Out of Warranty" products shall be separately quoted by the Orshel service center. All the related cost incidental and incurred thereto (without limitation to spare parts cost, maintenance cost etc.) shall be borne by the Customer.
  • IV. The warranty in respect of a repaired or replaced product/part shall continue until the expiration of the remaining warranty period or sixty (60) days from the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer.
  • V. Upon request from Orshel, the Customer may be required to provide the Purchase / Sales invoice, other documentation or information related to date and place of purchase.
  • VI. The warranty will be null and void in any of the following events:
    • a) The product serial number has been removed, erased, defaced, altered or is illegible.
    • b) If any part of the product is missing.
    • c) Orshel has not been notified by the consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the product during the applicable warranty period.
